Insulated Glass

Insulated glass is a high-performance building material known for its excellent thermal insulation, soundproofing, aesthetic appeal, and ability to reduce building weight. It is composed of two or more glass panes bonded together with a high-strength, high-airtightness composite adhesive, along with an aluminum spacer frame containing desiccant, creating an energy-efficient soundproof and thermal insulation glass unit. The main materials include glass, aluminum spacers, butyl sealant, silicone sealant, and desiccant.

• Thermal Insulation & Energy Efficiency: The sealed air space in insulated glass provides low thermal conductivity and heat transfer coefficients, ensuring excellent insulation and a comfortable living environment.

• Soundproofing: Insulated glass offers superior sound insulation, reducing noise by over 35 decibels.

• Anti-Condensation: The desiccant inside the glass absorbs moisture, keeping the interior dry. Even at low temperatures, condensation does not form inside the unit. The dew point on the outer surface is also raised, remaining below -40°C, preventing condensation caused by indoor-outdoor temperature differences.

• Enhanced Wind Pressure Resistance: For curtain walls, wind load resistance is a key performance indicator. Insulated glass has 1.5 times the wind pressure resistance of single-pane glass.

• Reduced Spontaneous Breakage: The manufacturing process of insulated glass involves cold bonding, which does not alter the internal stress of the glass panes. The edges are sealed with elastic materials, minimizing the risk of spontaneous breakage.

• Decorative Options: Insulated glass can be combined with coated, laminated, or enameled glass for enhanced aesthetic effects.

It is suitable for high-end architectural applications such as doors, windows, and skylights, as well as soundproofing needs in schools, hospitals, stadiums, TV and radio studios, and other spaces. It is also used in refrigeration appliances, aircraft, ships, locomotives, and other fields.
