Vacuum Glass (also known as Vacuum Insulating Glass, VIG) is an advanced glazing technology that utilizes a vacuum-sealed gap between two glass panes to achieve superior thermal insulation and noise reduction. Unlike traditional double-glazed units, vacuum glass eliminates gas conduction and convection, making it one of the most energy-efficient glass solutions for modern architecture and appliances
Product Structure
1. Two Glass Panes: Usually made of float glass, with one or both panes often coated with low-emissivity (Low-E) coatings to further enhance thermal performance.
2. Vacuum Layer: A hermetically sealed space between the panes with air removed, creating a vacuum (pressure typically ≤ 0.1 Pa).
3. Spacer Frame: A micro-structured frame (e.g., stainless steel or glass frit) around the edge of the panes to maintain the vacuum gap and structural stability.
4. Getters: Materials embedded in the spacer to absorb any residual gases and maintain long-term vacuum integrity.
